B.G. TUTORIAL on USING A HOLLOW MANDREL TO BLOW SHARDS
Shards :How To make
See all the Mandrels (both Hollow and Puffy in all sizes) for blowing shards listed under MANDRELS. Blowing shards is tricky. Make sure all the glass is the same temperature. First blow is very gentle to make sure the hole either on the end of the mandrel or a holey mandrel is not covered or there are gaps. Reheat everything and gently puff with the end of the mandrel up in the air. Make sure you keep turning as you puff.
